Grand River Body Identified as Missing Lowell Man

Robert NylenADA, Mich. — The body found in the Grand River last Saturday has been confirmed as that of 62-year-old Lowell man Robert Nylen.

According to the Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office, the cause of death was drowning.  Nylen had been missing since late May.

His body was discovered 3/4 of a mile away from the Ada boat launch by friends, who were conducting their own search along the Grand River.
