GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — For the first 16 seasons of Grand Rapids Griffins hockey, the team played without a single native Grand Rapidian.

That changed in 2013 with the signing of former East Grand Rapids and Michigan star Luke Glendening.

The forward has six goals in the 2013 Calder Cup Playoffs – including a score in Wednesday’s 4-2 win in Game 3 of the Finals.
