Plainwell High School Open to Chemical Fire Evacuees

Explosion 4PLAINWELL, Mich. — Evacuees from the chemical fires in the Plainwell Industrial Park will be housed at Plainwell High School, 684 Starr Rd., until it is safe for them to return to the area.

Anyone either a quarter of a mile north or a quarter of a mile east of the explosion at Drug and Laboratory Disposal, 331 Broad St., is being asked to evacuate the area until the exact chemicals that caused the explosions Monday afternoon are identified.
