Grand Rapids Math Teacher in Court for New Charges in Sex Case

JAMILA LOVE WILLIAMSGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — University Prep. Academy math teacher Jamila Williams was in court Friday to face more charges that she had inappropriate relationships with students from the school.

Williams was arraigned on three additional charges of criminal sexual conduct in addition to the four previous ones, according to the Wyoming District Court.  These new charges allege that Williams inappropriately touched a 15-year-old boy underneath a table at a restaurant and had sex with a 16-year-old.

Both of these new victims had text messages between themselves and Williams, according to the court.  In all, Williams has been charged with one count of second-degree CSC and six counts of third-degree CSC.  Her next court appearance will be a preliminary examination at 1 p.m. July 24.
