REMUS, Mich. – Michigan State Police arrested a 20-year-old woman after hitting the father of her child with cooking supplies.

Troopers were dispatched to the domestic assault and found the man and woman arguing in front of a home in Remus on Sunday.

The woman then struck the man with a frying pan, cutting board, and several other objects. Michigan State Police say the two have a child together, but no names are being released.

The man suffered minor injuries and refused treatment.

The mother was charged with felonious assault and is now behind bars in the Mecosta County Jail.

Her arraignment is scheduled for Monday at the 77th District Court in Big Rapids.
