Belding Man Robbed At Gunpoint Recalls Assault

IONIA COUNTY, Mich. — Devin Tumbleson said he was sleeping in his mobile home on Graceland Drive in Otisco Township, when intruders woke him up around 4 a.m.

“They just wanted the weed and money,” Tumbleson said.

He said, “Next thing I know, I was getting woke up to a gun pointing to my temple, and telling me to get the (explicative) up.”

Tumbleson said they duct-taped and pistol-whipped him. They demanded to know where all of his marijuana and money were. He said he has a medical marijuana card and grew his own pot.

“They told us straight up, ‘If you call the cops, when we leave, we will come back and we will kill you,'” he said.

Tumbleson said his main concern during the ordeal was his two children who were in another room. The incident was reported June 21st. He said his brother came home to the chaos, and the intruders eventually left. Tumbleson he moved out of his home that same day.

This weekend the Ionia County Sheriff’s Department released two sketches of the suspects. One man is black and the other is white.

“I’ve never seen them in my entire life. They were both big guys,” Tumbleson said.

The sheriff’s department said the men are about 6’3 and weigh between 200 and 280 pounds.

Tumbleson recalled, “They told me multiple times that this isn’t there first rodeo. They said they been doing this now for years, and that they can’t get caught.”
