SAN FRANCISCO, CA- A Boeing 777 from Seoul, South Korea crash landed at San Francisco International airport late Saturday night, killing two teenage girls from China and sending 182 others to the hospital.
All 307 passengers have now been accounted for, and 61 of them are Americans.
The aircraft was operated by Asiana Airlines. Flight 214 left Seoul’s Incheon International Airport earlier Saturday on a 10-hour direct flight. The pilot who was flying at the time had been flying with Asiana since 1996.
Asiana Airlines is one of South Korea’s two major airlines, the other being Korean Air.
Flight recorders have been recovered and are heading to Washington.
