The Vehicles were located the parking lots of churches during Sunday morning services in the area of 68th Street S.E. in Gaines Township and also in Cascade Township.

Suspects gained entry to the vehicles through either unlocked doors or by breaking windows. Targeted items to steal were credit cards that were used soon after the thefts.

To help prevent becoming a victim, the Kent County Sheriff Department recommends hiding valuables in unattended vehicles so they cannot be seen through the windows and remembering to lock your doors. In some of these recent thefts purses had been left lying out so they could be seen from the exterior of the vehicle and caused that vehicle to be targeted.

Should you have any information on the above described larcenies, you are asked to contact the Kent County Sheriff Department at (616) 632-6125 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
