Candlelight Vigil In Memory Of Muskegon Shooting Victims

alex brownMUSKEGON,Mich. — The Muskegon Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Monroe Avenue July 9 on a double shooting.  Alexis “Alex” Brown, 27, died as a result of his wounds.  An innocent bystander, Carmesha Rogers, age 27, was shot in the head and is still in critical condition at a local hospital.

Six suspects were arrested and charged with various weapons offenses in connection with the shootings.

Funeral Services for Brown are scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, and visitation will be Tuesday, July 16.

Brown’s family will also be holding a candlelight vigil in memory of Alex and in support of Carmesha Rogers Tuesday at dusk in the 300 block of Monroe Avenue.
