Suspects Arrested In Connection With Home Invasion

MSP Cruiser lightsLEIGHTON TOWNSHIP,Mich. —  Two Suspects are in police custody after a home owner says they interrupted the suspects breaking into a home. According to the Michigan State Police the break in happened on July 30 at a family residence located in Leighton Township in Allegan County. Troopers were called to the home after the homeowner called 911 and stated that he had just interrupted two subjects who broke into his home.  The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle that was eventually stopped by Deputy’s from the Kent County Sheriff Department.

Troopers arrested the two subjects for home invasion and other additional charges.  Both subjects are from the Grand Rapids area.  They are in the Allegan County Jail and are expected to be arraigned on July 31.

Michigan State Police are also looking into other recent home invasions, to see if they are related to today’s incident.
