One Person Shot In Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Grand Rapids Police say one man has been shot early Sunday morning in Grand Rapids. It happened in the 1900 block of Jefferson SE around 2:20 a.m. Police do not have a lot of information at this time but say the man was shot in the arm. According to the Lieutenant in charge, the man’s injuries are non-life threatening and he was taken to the hospital.

Officers on the scene confirm that there were multiple shots fired.

Police do not have a description of the suspect they are looking for.

    This is news why?People that want to hang in the streets late at night are not out playing marbles or dolls!!
    Also we as a society it seems have adjusted to all the shootings as sad as that sounds it is true.
    I just dont know why we dont just give a;; the gangsters and drug dealers and thugs guns and let them have a ten acre field to shoot it out until the last man standing?Then the 1 left standing might just stop .
    TO ME IT WILL BE NEWS WORTHY WHEN YOU REPORT WE DID NOT HAVE ANY KILLINGS OR SHOOTINGS IN OUR STREETS YESTERDAY AR LAST NIGHT!! NOW THAT WOULD BE NEWS.

      As long as we allow young women in the hood to "have children for a living" in the hood with no guidance at all what do you expect. Should a 35yr. old woman be a grandmother??

    Tracy said it exactly right. Although many of us have become aloof to this type of crime, I really do feel very sorry for those stuck in that environment. I truly feel blessed/lucky to live a more peaceful life.
