GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been cancelled for most areas north of Grand Rapids Wednesday morning.

The line of storms moving through the state produced significant wind damage across much of central and northern Wisconsin, but very little in the way of damaging wind has been reported in the FOX 17 viewing area.

One gust of 61 mph was reported at 3:10 A.M. at Big Sable Point near Ludington, as well as trees knocked down in places like Cadillac and near Frankfort in northern Lower Michigan.

Once the initial line of storms moves out of West Michigan Wednesday morning, partly sunny skies will emerge with warm and humid conditions through most of the day.  A cold front will likely touch off a few more thunderstorms into the afternoon.

Areas south and east of Grand Rapids have the best chance at seeing additional storms later in the day Wednesday, with parts of southeastern Lower Michigan having the greatest threat of severe weather.  The cold front will push storms out of the state by evening, with less humid air moving in overnight.

Thursday will bring a return to comfortable, less humid conditions with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s.
