WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — The opening two weeks of August have felt a little more like September at times here in West Michigan. In fact, there has only been one day so far this month with above normal temperatures. That was on the 7th when the high was 83 degrees, and the low was 64.

This image shows high temperatures Wednesday. Some areas barely cracked 70, while some places stayed in the 60’s. Normal high for this time of year is close to 80. So far this month, Grand Rapids is running 59 total degrees below normal, or an average of 4.2 degrees per day. However, all indications are the second half of the month will feature temperatures above normal.
