GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., — August 14, 2013 marks nine years since a Zeeland man and his fiancee were found shot to death in their sleeping bags along the California coast.

Jason Allen, 26, and Lindsay Cutshall of Ohio, 22 were both working as counselors at a Christian camp the summer it happened. They were planning to get married the next month, in September 2004.

Allen and Cutshall were shot at close range while they slept on Fish Head Beach, near Jenner. Although various pieces of evidence were found at the scene, the case has remained cold.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

FOX 17 reached out to investigators at the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office for an update on the case. Our calls had not been returned as of Wednesday evening.
