Two Suspects Arrested for Restaurant Break-In

crime-break-inALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 2 suspects for breaking into the Hungry Howie’s Pizza on Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale Township.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Friday August 16, deputies received a call from a witness who stated the front window had been smashed and the suspects took off on foot.

A short time later, police in the area of I-96 and 68th Avenue in Coopersville pulled over a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse for driving erratically.

Deputies found an 18-year-old male and a 19-year-old male from Holland Township that had just been involved in the Hungry Howie’s break-in.

It was also found the suspects were in possession a substantial amount of marijuana.

Both of the suspects are in the process of being interviewed by detectives and it is likely that additional burglary charges related to the recent string of Ottawa County businesses may be filed soon.

The suspects also face charges for violation of probation and failure to appear warrants. Names will be released after arraignment. The incident remains under investigation.
