ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich.– Isabella County parents plea to everyone across the state to keep their eyes open for their son and friend after deputies say the two ran away together Tuesday.

The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department issued a voluntary missing persons report for 13-year old Jayden Thomas from Clare and 14-year old Braxton Wood from Mt. Pleasant.

Braxton’s parents say early Monday morning he took off with their black ford Explorer to pick up Jayden.

Sarah Kiley and Ed Wood say they think their son and Jayden both turned off their phones because they haven’t been able to track them.

Originally it was thought the two were headed to Florida to see a friend, but Kiley and Wood say with little money they are likely still in Michigan.

The two had been dating on and off and they have no idea why they would just leave.

“We just want to make sure people are paying attention and if they see these kids they’re both good kids and have never been in trouble before. This is totally out of character and we just hope and pray that somebody will call,” said Kiley.

The license plate on the Explorer they’re believed to be driving is BCQ4820. If you have any information call your local police department or Isabella County Dispatch at 989-773-1000.
