3-Vehicles Stolen After Suspects Break Into An Apartment

kzoopolicestockKALAMAZOO,Mich. — According to the Kalamazoo Public Safety Office On September 12 at approximately 1:55 AM, an apartment in the 1500 Block of Kickapoo Court was broken into while the residents were sleeping.  During the night one of the residents received a phone call from a parent advising them the Police had inquired about their car.  The resident then found that the residence had been broken into and items were missing, including car keys.  Upon checking further it was also found 3 of the resident’s vehicles had been stolen.

One of the stolen vehicles was later located by Portage PD and a short pursuit with the vehicle took place, until the car crashed in the 2900 Block of Oakland.  Occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody by Portage police.

A second vehicle that was stolen was found unoccupied at Linden Grove Middle School by officers.  The vehicle appeared not to have been damaged and was returned to its owner.

A third stolen vehicle has still not been recovered.  It is described as a 2004 Pontiac Montana Van, Maroon in color.  Michigan license plate 7KXW46
