GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Cooler air is moving into West Michigan Thursday morning, part of a transition that will see high temperatures dropping by thirty degrees over four days.

Temperatures around most of West Michigan were still holding in the 60s Thursday morning, but had dropped into the 50s for areas from Muskegon northward.  Skies will remain just partly cloudy for most of the day Thursday, but a few isolated showers are possible in the afternoon as cooler air continues to stream into the region.

We’ll wake up to a much chillier morning Friday with lows in the upper 40s, and highs will only climb back into the mid 60s in most places Friday afternoon.  That will complete the decline from a high of 94° in Grand Rapids Tuesday to only around 64° Friday.

Fortunately, we’ll at least see sunshine for Friday and Saturday, before some rain chances return Sunday.  The cooler-than-average readings will hang around into early next week.
