Ionia Road Rage 911 picIONIA, Mich- Funeral arrangements have been set for James Pullem, one of the men involved in the road rage incident on Wednesday evening.

According to his obituary, The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday September 24, 2013 at Shiloh Community Church, 8197 Heth St.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.  at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia.

The shootout happened at 7 p.m. at the Wonder Wash Car Wash at the corner of the Nash and Steele Street near M-66.

Robert Taylor followed Pullum on Steele Street, and that’s when Pullum pulled into the parking lot, said Ionia Detective Sgt. Cory McDiarmid. “When he noticed a vehicle that was very close to him, he pulled into the car wash to let the vehicle pass or to go about his business at the car wash.” he said.

That’s when the two men got out of their cars and got into a verbal altercation before the shooting. Pullum had two people in the car with him. Friends say it was his mother and his wife.

Police say they have no evidence that indicates the men knew each other.

Memorial contributions may be made to the James Pullum Benefit Account at Independent Bank.
