GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.— In a series of Pay-It-Forward’s, a two-year-old girl got to take home a special gift.

Little Aliana Barrera has muscle weakness from a unkown cause that prevents her from being able to ride a traditional tricycle. When the Walker Chapter of AMBUCS heard about that, they decided to help.

AMBUCS, known as the American Business Club, is a national service organization dedicated to creating independence and opportunities for people with disabilities. The Walker Chapter presented little Aliana with a brand new AmTryke, which is a therapeutic tricycle. The unique tricycle is hand and/or foot driven and improves motor coordination, increases self-esteem and, most important for Aliana is fun to ride.

The presentation happened Friday morning at Keller Ford Kia. The dealership took part in Ford’s “Drive for UR Community.” That program raises money for local non-profits, and Keller Ford Kia chose the Walker Chapter of AMBUCS to donate to.
