GRAND RAPIDS, Mich – A suspect investigators in Kalamazoo County say is responsible for at least two bank robberies in the West Michigan area has been arrested in Arizona according to federal court documents.

A complaint has been filed against Joshua James Breckenridge of Grand Rapids claiming he stole $2,228.00 from the Chemical Bank branch at 6080 West Main Street in Oshtemo Township on September 25th.

The FBI says Breckenridge handed a teller a note that said “Robbery” and underneath said the word “Cash”.  The teller put the cash into a brown plastic bag and Breckenridge left the bank.  Police later released surveillance images that two people associated with Breckenridge say was him.

Breckenridge was later located and arrested in Phoenix, Arizona.

Local investigators said at the time of the robbery that Breckenridge may be responsible for a bank robbery at a Chase bank branch in Grand Rapids that occurred two days prior to the Chemical Bank robbery.  The surveillance images released from both incidents appeared to be the same man.

Right now, federal documents only show charges for the Chemical Bank robbery for Breckenridge.
