WASHINGTON — Thousands of pounds of meat products have been recalled due to possible contamination, and the products were distributed in Michigan.

Reser’s Fine Foods, a Kansas company, is recalling approximately 22,800 pounds of chicken, ham, and beef products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The company announced that these products are being recalled in conjunction with other foods regulated by the Food and Drug Administration:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers.
