Grocery Store Robbed in Newaygo County

generic police lightsFREMONT, Mich. — Two suspects are sought in connection with an armed grocery store robbery in Fremont Monday night.

The men entered Ashcroft Grocery, 10450 S Warner Avenue, at 8:24 p.m., said the Newaygo County Sheriff’s Department. The men flashed a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and demanded cash and cigarettes.  Both men were wearing bandanas.

Both suspects appeared to be in their 20′s. Detectives believe a third suspect was waiting in a vehicle, a maroon/red Ford Ranger, mid 90′s style.

The suspects were last seen heading south on Warner Avenue.

    Odd we get a better description of the pistol than the criminals, almost like the gun was at fault
    Guns don't rob stores, they don't kill either, people do
