Presentation for Parents of Students with Autism

School-students-desksGRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– Kent County parents of students with autism have a chance to learn some valuable information Tuesday night from a well-known speaker.

The Grand Rapids Public Schools Special Education Office is hosting “Effective Strategies to Address Common Challenges in the Home for Students with Autism,” presented by Thomas Caffrey. Mr. Caffrey is an internationally recognized speaker and authority on autism, who has presented hundreds of workshops and conferences on autism around the world. Mr. Caffrey has a child with autism. His workshops make complex material understandable, and he provides parents with effective strategies to deal with common challenges in the home and in the community.

This free event begins with registration at 5:00 p.m. The presentation runs from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at GRPS University (formerly City High Middle), located at 1400 Fuller Ave NE in Grand Rapids.
