NORTON SHORES, Mich. — Tenants at the Crestview Estates trailer park in Norton Shores are without water for more than 24 hours after the property management company failed to pay the bill.

On site manager, Ken Swineheart said that the park’s water bill for October is $9,700. That’s up from $2,800 in January. He said that the bill is too costly for the company to pay it on time. Swineheart said that the tenant’s rent includes monthly water fees.

According to the City of Norton Shores, the bill was due on Novemeber 10, 2013, and the company didn’t contact them until it posted a notice to shut the water off.

The city said that once the property management company pays half of the current bill, water will be restored.

Swineheart said that he hopes to have the water reinstated for all of the tenants as soon as possible.
