Suspects Sought In Breaking And Entering

generic sheriff pictureLAWRENCE, Mich.- The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the suspect or suspects who broke into a gas station in the 100 block of W. St. Joseph Street.

It was Lawson’s Citgo Gas Station and it happened just after 3 a.m. on Saturday morning. When deputies arrived they found the main entry door had been broken with a rock. The suspect(s) got away with 10 cartons of cigarettes. Nothing else is missing at this time. A bucket used to take the cigarettes was found a 1/4 mile away from the scene.

Deputies think they got away in a small or medium-sized car based on the tire tracks left behind. ┬áIf you know anything about this case, you’re being asked to call the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department at 1-269-657-3101.
