MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Two players on the Muskegon Heights Public School Academy basketball team are facing felony armed robbery charges in connection with a cab driver robbery.

Jeff Jordan, 17, and 18-year-old Carlos Hudson were arraigned Monday in 60th District Court, according to Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson.

The two men face potential life sentences for the Dec. 5 incident, where they allegedly robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in the 2000 block of Dyson Street.

According to Hilson, the two had their faces covered during the alleged incident, but were later located in Muskegon with money and a gun.

They are both charged with armed robbery, a life felony, and felony firearm possession.  A preliminary examination is scheduled for both men at 2 p.m. Dec. 19.  Both are currently being held in the Muskegon County Jail, Jordan on a $100,000 bond and Hudson on a $50,000 bond.

Jordan is a senior guard on the Muskegon Heights Public School Academy boys basketball team.  Hudson is a junior forward.
