U.S. 131 and 12 Mile Road
KENT COUNTY, Mich. – The Kent County Sheriff’s Department responded to numerous slide-off accidents on northbound U.S. 131 in northern Kent County.
The crashes were reported before 1 p.m. in the area of northbound U.S. 131 near 12 Mile Road. Michigan State Police said at least six cars were involved.
US-131 at 10 Mile was re-opened at roughly 3:16 p.m.
The closure was due to numerous car crashes as a result of rapidly forming ice on the road surface. At this point no injuries have been reported. The closure is for an indeterminate period of time.
