LANSING, Mich. — The botched launch of the Affordable Care Act seems to be taking its toll on Democrats in early election predictions.

Governor Rick Snyder and Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land now both lead their respective 2014 races, according to the latest PPP poll.

Land is beating Democratic Congressman Gary Peters by a small margin, 42-to-40,  and enjoys higher favorable ratings.  She also seems to be winning big with Independents, who like her by a 2-to-1 margin.

As for Governor Rick Snyder, who trailed Mark Schauer in June,  he now holds a 44-to-40 advantage.

However, it’s not all good news for Snyder.  Although his approval rating is up from its 40-to-52 standing in PPP’s  last poll, it’s still underwater at 42-to-49.  The Governor’s support of “Right to Work” remains unpopular one year later.
