WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — A system moved through Tuesday afternoon producing a widespread area of accumulating snow, and now behind it, the lake-effect snow machine has been put into motion yet again.  A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of West Michigan until 4AM.

As of 8:40pm, FOX 17 radar shows some heavy snow bands in parts of West Michigan. This image from our in-house computer model, Future Track, shows accumulations by morning of 1 to 3 inches.  There could be some slick spots on the way in to work and school, so make sure you watch FOX 17 Morning News for an update on the weather and the roads.

A stronger system will be impacting the midwest this weekend. There are a lot of different solutions being offered by the various computer models. All we know for sure is that somewhere in the midwest there is going to be a lot of snow. We will be watching that very carefully in coming days.
