ribbon cuttingGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is celebrating the recent opening of its new restaurant lineup.

Bell’s Brewhouse and Greens are the two new additions to the airport’s dining options – restaurants that, “capture the essence of West Michigan,” said Brian Ryks, the Kent County Department of Aeronautics Executive Director.

Bell’s Brewhouse offers a cafe-style menu and award-winning craft beers from Bell’s Brewery out of Kalamazoo to travelers flying in and out of ‘Beer City U.S.A.’ and Greens specializes in using organic, all-natural ingredients in their foods.

The airport partnered with a global restaurateur, HMSHost, to create this local lineup that celebrated Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“Today we celebrated the greatness of Michigan with the welcome of some fantastic, locally relevant restaurants,” said HMSHost Senior Director of Business Development Bryan Loden during the ceremony. “We are thrilled at how these restaurants look, as well as the amazing food and drinks that they serve. The airport has been a superb partner and we look forward to continuing to serve Michigan’s travelers for many years.”

Both of the new restaurants are in the Grand Hall Food Court in the airport’s pre-security area.

The existing Starbucks was also remodeled.
