One of FBI’s ‘Most Wanted’ Has Michigan Connections

Screen shot 2013-12-18 at 9.42.15 PMBOSTON, Mass. — One of the FBI’s “Most Wanted” terrorists has connections to Michigan, the agency announced in a release Wednesday.

Ahmad Abousamra, 32, grew up in Boston and has ties to the Detroit area.  He is thought ot have left the U.S. in 2006 and may be currently living in Syria.

Abousamra was indicted after allegedly attempting to obtain military training in Pakistan and Yemen for the purpose of killing American soldiers overseas.  A federal warrant was issued on Nov. 5, 2009, and he has now been moved to the “Most Wanted” list.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for any information that leads to his whereabouts.
