26 Titles Added to Netflix After New Year’s Streaming Purge

TV Watching(CNN) — Netflix also giveth, even while it taketh away.

The company made news recently with the announcement that as of January 1, it would no longer be streaming such movie hits as “Titanic,” “Flashdance” and “Top Gun” because of expiring licensing contracts.

But take heart film aficionados. Mashable is reporting that Netflix has added some movies to its streaming offerings.

Here is the list of newbies, according to Reddit:

    They took away something like 89 movies/programs and replaced it with 26?
    And not 26 really good movies either!
    They really need to dump the British garbage- And put more sitcoms on as well-
    These new choices are movies you can find in the 5.00 bin at Walmart!
    If I wanted this, I would just stay with Comcast!
    If this kind of limited choices continue, We will dump Netflix just like we did with Comcast!
