WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — For the second night in a row, hundreds of school systems have closed for the following day in anticipation of another very cold and in some cases, snowy day.

As of 8:30pm Monday, there are over 300 closings for Tuesday. We will continue to scroll these closings on the bottom of the screen on FOX 17, or you can click HERE for the complete list.  Grand Rapids Public Schools is one of many districts that have cancelled classes for Tuesday.

Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect until Tuesday morning for the counties in pink. These counties are Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Allegan, Barry, Van Buren, and Kalamazoo.  Additional snowfall amounts will just be a few inches, but strong winds will result in blowing snow and reduced visibility on the roads.

All of West Michigan remains under a wind chill warning throughout the day Tuesday.  Here is a look at current wind chills on Monday evening.  Wind chill readings will be similar to this on Tuesday morning.
