Update: ‘Large’ Natural Gas Leak in Battle Creek Fixed

_MG_2098BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – According to police the gas leak was capped around 3:30 and the intersection has been re-opened.

The leak occurred January in the area of Capital Avenue SW and Tennyson Avenue, that is near the Lakeview business district.

According to Battle Creek Police, a construction crew hit a gas line with an auger causing a ‘large’ natural gas leak in the area.

The Battle Creek Fire Department did not order any evacuations.
