According to FOX 28, officers from Berrien County, Michigan went to question a person of interest in Granger, Indiana.  The suspect ran off, and a 45-minute chase ensued.

During the pursuit, the man tried to carjack a woman at gunpoint, but failed.  He then attempted to gain entry into a home.  That’s when a single gunshot rang out.  FOX 28 reports that the suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, citing the Metro Homicide Commander in St. Joseph County, Indiana.

Nobody else was harmed in the pursuit.

The suspect’s identity has not been released, but according to recent interviews following Sunday’s arson/robbery, Detective Lieutenant Greg Sanders say it’s possible he was a former employee of the Walmart.
