Woman Accidentally Shot By Husband While Hunting

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich.- A woman was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital after her husband accidentally shot her while hunting on Saturday.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said the couple, from Zeeland, was hunting near 16th Avenue and Bryon Road in Jamestown Twp., when the husband spotted a rabbit and began shooting.

Sheriff’s deputies said the man did not see his wife.

She was taken to Spectrum Butterworth where she was listed in stable condition.
