WALKER, Mich. — One man was killed Sunday in a house fire in Walker.
The fire happened on Needham Court NW near Alpine Avenue and I-96.
The man’s neighbor pulled his body out of the house before police arrived on the scene.
Police said the victim was in a wheelchair. He will be identified pending notification of his next of kin.
The fire started at around 7 p.m. and the house was fully engulfed when crews arrived on the scene. They believe the fire started in the kitchen.
