PORTER COUNTY, Ind. — Contractors at an Enbridge pipeline construction site uncovered a human skull on Monday morning, leading to a full police investigation.

According to The (Munster) Times in Indiana, the skull was found about 9:45 a.m. by crews installing the new Enbridge pipeline in Liberty Township.  The scene was treated like a crime scene, and police searched for additional materials, but nothing else was found.

The skull is described as being intact, except for a missing jaw bone.  A forensic anthropologist is being brought in to help investigate the case.
