HOWARD TOWNSHIP, Mich- Two people are recovering after a snowmobile accident in Howard Township Saturday afternoon.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, 33-year-old Keith Peterson and his 8-year-old daughter, Emily Peterson from Niles were travelling on their snowmobile south on Bame Avenue when 60-year-old Randall Womble pulled his vehicle out of his driveway and struck the snowmobile.

The Petersons were both taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment.  Mr. Womble was not injured in the crash.

The Cass County Sheriff Deputies believe that the Petersons were wearing their helmets and Mr. Womble was wearing his seat belt.

Alcohol may have been a factor in this crash.

This crash remains under investigation.
