Police: Man Breaks Through Ice to Save Driver from Overturned Vehicle

Fruitport accidentFRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man apparently risked his life to save a driver whose vehicle rolled over and was trapped underwater in Fruitport Township Wednesday morning.

The accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. in the area of S. Dangl Road and Ellis Road, according to a release.

Fruitport Township police received several reports that the car was trapped in a deep ditch where water had collected.

The man reportedly broke through the ice and was up to his chest in water while helping the driver get out of the vehicle.

The driver was not injured and was in a nearby vehicle warming up when police arrived.  The man who rescued them left prior to that.

    This was some person that Helped and did not want to be hounded for doing what he thought was right the person that was saved can just say he had his Guardian Angle with him.
    To the person who saved this Man Thank You and it is great to see people that do the right thing and dont expect anything for it! To everyone take lessons from this guy who did a good deed and walked away.
