Friday Fundraiser for Man In Need of Kidney Transplant

Screen shot 2014-01-30 at 6.57.50 PMGRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– A West Michigan church community is coming together to organize a fundraiser for Willie Tyler Jr., a man in need of a kidney transplant.

The “Acts of Love” fundraiser is scheduled Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the St. Cecilia Music Hall, 24 Ransom NE.

Performances from gospel artists Carolyn Quinn and Malique Grear are scheduled for the event, and vendors will be also be set up from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. selling wares to benefit Tyler.

The event is free and open to the public, however $15 tickets are available for a VIP reception.  Anyone interested in making a donation outside the fundraiser can go into any Fifth-Third Bank and donate to the Willie Tyler Jr. fundraising fund.

Representatives from the National Kidney Foundation will be present to give out information on kidney failure statistics.
