Recall Round-Up: Chicken Soup, Coats, and More

recall roundupBETHESDA, Md. (Feb. 5, 2014) — There are several recalls this week that parents may want to know about, from both the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the United States Department of Agriculture.

Among the recalled items are a specific kind of Healthy Choice soup, certain hooded coats, and bicycles with a very specific style of handle bar.  Detailed information on the recalls is listed below.

Healthy Choice Chicken with Rice – ConAgra Foods is recalling approximately 54,673 pounds of chicken noodle soup products due to mis-branding and undeclared allergens (wheat, egg).  The recall impacts 14 oz. microwave bowls with establishment number P-770 inside the USDA Mark of Inspection and the Best By date of “JUN092015” stamped on the bottom of the bowl.  Click here for more information.

Lion Force Boys’ Puffer Coats – The jackets, which are sold exclusively at Burlington Coat Factory, have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children.  About 2,400 units are impacted.  There have been no reports of any injuries.  Refunds are available.  Click here for more information.

Runway Global’s Sugarfly Girls’ Hooded Jackets – The jackets have drawstrings in the hood around the neck area that pose a strangulation hazard to young children.  About 820 units are impacted.  There have been no reports of any injuries.  Refunds are available.  Click here for more information.

3T Design Cervélo P5 bicycles with 3T Aduro aero handlebars – The forward extension mounts can detach from the base bar while riding causing the rider to lose control.  About 1,300 units are impacted in the U.S.  3T Design has received 28 reports of incidents, including one report of a broken collar bone and four reports of abrasions.  Refunds and replacements are available.  Click here for more information.
