PORTAGE, Mich (February 10, 2014) — A Portage Public Safety Fire Investigator is looking into the cause of a house fire that happened Monday evening.
A single family home currently undergoing renovations in the 4700 block of West Milham Avenue suffered heavy smoke and fire damage.
The home is unoccupied at the moment, and no one was inside when the fire happened. There are no injuries being reported.
PPS officers say it took about an hour to get the fire under control.
Firefighters from the Oshtemo Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
