MUSKEGON, Mich (February 12, 2014) – Firefighters in Muskegon are praising residents for clearing a fire hydrant that was badly needed during a recent emergency.
Firefighters were recently dispatched to a large house fire in the 1100 block of West Larch, and found a nearby hydrant had been shoveled out by residents, allowing them to quickly respond to the fire.
Authorities with the Muskegon Fire Department issued a release, thanking the individual(s) for the effort.
Fire officials in the City of Muskegon are asking residents to report a hydrant that may be buried in their area through the city’s website. This application applies to the City of Muskegon only, and not neighboring municipalities.
