PipelineCERESCO, Mich. (Feb. 22nd, 2014)-  Enbridge has gotten the green light for the removal of the Ceresco Dam in Calhoun County on the Kalamazoo River.

According to a spokesperson from Enbridge, the DEQ issued the final permit on Friday permitting the company to remove the dam.

Enbridge bought the dam back in September of 2013, as a part of the clean up process from the 2010 oil spill in the Kalamazoo River. The company hopes to have the dam removed by the summer.

This is the last phase of Enbridge’s Ceresco Dam project.
