86-Year-Old Woman Killed After Crash With Rockford School Bus

sheriff-cruiserCANNON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Feb. 24, 2014) — An 86-year-old Cannonsburg woman died Monday after a crash with a Rockford Public Schools bus.

Ione Potter was taken to the hospital in critical condition after her station wagon crashed into the bus.   According to Kent County Sheriff’s Department, the bus turned in front of her at approximately 3:55 p.m. while she was traveling east on Cannonsburg Road NE near Dun Robin Drive.

There were students on the bus during the crash, but nobody else was injured.  The incident remains under investigation.
