As reported, four officers face drug-related charges. As a result, four other corrections officers were placed on paid administrative leave and given a drug test.

According to the release, detectives wanted to determine if any other officer was involved. The drug tests for the four other officers came back negative, and they were cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.

The original four officers still face charges. They’re accused of making or possessing marijuana butter.

According to the court documents, three of the officers and an officer’s wife have a medical marijuana card. An attorney for one of the officers said his client and the other defendants thought they were following the law.

Two caregivers for the officers also face charges.
