New MDOT Map Gives You Heads Up On Road Construction

Road ConstructionGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Road projects in Michigan usually ramp up in April. But some projects are delayed due to the longer winter this year. To help you handle the new construction season, a new map from the Michigan Department of Transportation is available in paper form and online.

The 2014 “Paving The Way” Construction Map displays locations of projects and tells you when the projects will take place.

Copies of the maps are available at Michigan rest areas and information centers and can be requested by sending your name and address to mdotwebinfo@michigan.gov. You can also download the map.

For details on individual state projects (on highways designated with “I,” “US,” or “M”), MDOT has a page that simplifies your search.
