Serious 3-Vehicle Crash In Eastern Kent County

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Two people were injured when three cars collided on M-44 Friday evening in eastern Kent County.

M-44 also is known as Belding Road.

The crash occurred at 5:58 p.m. Friday on M-44 at Kitson Drive near Bostwick Lake. According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, the accident involved three vehicles and closed down the roadway in both directions.

Two people were hurt and both were transported to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. One sustained life-threatening injuries and the other person’s injuries were serious but not life threatening, according to the sheriff’s department.

Deputies were still on the scene and the roadway remained closed at 9 p.m. Friday.
